Kirby Specialties works in collaboration with our customers to meet their construction needs. We excel at projects that are fast paced, require skill, and that demand attention to detail. The projects that we complete for our clients range from work in food processing, nuclear, pulp/paper/forestry, and many others.

The projects we complete generally consist of one or more of the following depending on the desire of our client.

1. Civil, structural and architectural renovations to existing facilities, such as:

• Demolition of existing improvements and structural systems
• New Drainage Systems – spot drains, floor drains, trench drains, slot drains
• New Floor Systems – concrete, epoxy, brick
• New Wall Systems – masonry, insulated metal panels (IMP), metal stud walls
• New Ceiling Systems – insulated metal panels, acoustical
• Structural renovations – removal, and relocation of structural components

2. Plant expansions to add additional square footage to the facility for production, warehouse, or refrigerated storage space

• New plant construction additions from the ground up including tilt up construction, precast structures, structural steel and imp structures, pre-engineered metal building construction, and cold storage structures

Millwright services for the removal or relocation of existing production and processing equipment including but not limited to:

• Food Processing Facilities
  • Raw Prep – mixers, tumblers, batter and breading equipment
  • Cooking Equipment – ovens, fryers, filtration systems, oil Systems
  • Freezing Equipment – spiral Freezes, plate Freezers
  • Packaging Equipment – elevated worker/operator platforms, shakers, scale and weighing systems, baggers, metal detectors, X Ray machines, packaging conveyors, carton conveyors, cartoning machines, case erectors, empty case chutes.
